The Al Ahdaf Academy was invited to conduct a workshop for the upper primary students of Madrasah Al-Maarif Al-Islamiah.
On the 5th of January 2016, Al Ahdaf presented its first workshop for the new year to encourage the participants to develop a love for the Arabic language and to promote its use using games and activities.
Nearly 200 students and teachers were involved in a 2 hour workshop that began with a half hour talk by Ahdaf Director, Mustafa Al Tahir. He stressed on the benefits of learning the Arabic language to the students and ended with all the tips he had for them to increase their competency in the language.
The students were then divided into their individual levels as the fun and games began.
With differing levels of difficulty, the students were split into teams and engaged in games like Pictionary, Sentence-forming and storytelling!
At the end of 2 hours, there were winners aplenty, smiles all around and the feeling of satisfaction from the Al Ahdaf trainers.
While there was much fun and games, as with any language, the key to developing your competency in learning a new language is practice, practice and practice. From Al Ahdaf Academy, we wish all students from Madrasah Al-Maa'rif every success!
